Who we are

A small organisation that does one thing

New Vision Nepal is a registered non-profit in Kathmandu. What it offers is yoga, meditation, Himalayan sound healing and sound therapy — given free of cost to the homes, centres, schools and communities least likely to be offered them — and multi-day retreats in the Himalaya.

Our mission

To bring calm, rest and wellbeing to people across Nepal, free of cost, through yoga, meditation and sound.

Our vision

An equitable and prosperous society.

How we work

Four things we hold to

Never ask for payment

Yoga, meditation, sound healing and sound therapy are given free of cost. The only exception is a multi-day retreat, where a contribution covers transport, food and accommodation.

Go to where people already are

The instruments travel. A children’s home, a barracks yard or a school ground is where the session happens — nobody is asked to find a venue or a way to get there.

Work alongside, never instead

Where a home or centre has its own carers and therapists, we follow their guidance. They know the people in their care and we do not.

Claim only what is true

These sessions are for calm, rest and wellbeing. They are not treatment, not a cure and not medicine, and we say so plainly wherever it matters.

What we offer

One practice, given away

Yoga, meditation, Himalayan sound healing and sound therapy — that is the whole of what this organisation does, and all of it is given free of cost. We would rather do one thing and do it properly, in the places least likely to be offered it, than list work we are not actually carrying out.

Peace belongs to everyone. Our service is given freely — no cost, ever, only care. New Vision Nepal
Our director

Yogi Ashok Sharma Bhatta

Yogi Ashok Sharma Bhatta — known to many simply as Yogi Ji — is the Director of New Vision Nepal. He carries the practice himself: yoga, meditation, Himalayan sound healing and sound therapy, offered without charge to children’s homes, elderly homes, rehabilitation centres, schools, communities, and to the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Traffic Police. He also leads the organisation’s retreats in the Himalaya.

He is also Director of the Himalayan Wellness Foundation, a separate organisation.

Where an honour has come to this work, it has been our blessing to serve — nothing more.

Registration and affiliation

New Vision Nepal is registered as a non-profit organisation in Nepal and is affiliated to the Social Welfare Council. It is based at Kathmandu-16, Sohrakhutte.

Where the money goes

Every session is free, so donations pay for what it costs to reach people and to keep the instruments in good repair. If you would like to know how giving is used, please ask us — we will tell you plainly.
