Yoga, meditation and sound
This is the whole of it. Yoga, meditation, Himalayan sound healing and sound therapy — given free of cost — and multi-day retreats in the mountains. We do not run programmes in anything else, and we would rather say so plainly than look larger than we are.
Yoga
Yoga as it is actually useful to a room of people who have never done it: gentle, adapted, and never a performance. Seated practice for those who cannot stand, standing practice for those who can, and nothing that asks anyone to bend further than they wish to.
Sessions are shaped around whoever is present — children, elders, students, serving personnel. Mats help but are not essential, and nobody needs to own anything to take part.

Meditation
Meditation taught plainly — how to sit, how to breathe, what to do when the mind wanders. No jargon, no belief required, nothing to sign up to and nothing to join.
For many of the people we sit with, the value is simply a quiet hour that belongs to them. That is enough, and we do not claim more for it than that.

Himalayan sound healing
Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, tingsha and chimes, played for a room that is lying or sitting at rest. People are asked to do nothing at all except listen.
The instruments are old, heavy and carried by hand to wherever the session is being held — a barracks yard, a school ground, a room in a children’s home.

Sound therapy
Quieter, closer work with sound — for one person or a small group rather than a full room, and at a slower pace. It is offered for relaxation and rest.
Like everything else here, it is given free of cost. It is not treatment, not a cure and not medicine, and it does not replace medical or psychological care. Where someone is already under the care of a doctor, a therapist or a centre’s own staff, we work alongside them and under their guidance.

Retreats
Multi-day retreats carrying the same practice into the high Himalaya — yoga, meditation and sound healing in places that have held them for a very long time.
Retreats have been held at Panch Pokhari in Sindhupalchok, Gosaikunda in Rasuwa, Laprak in Gorkha and Ramkot in Kathmandu. This is the one part of the work where guests are asked for a contribution, and it covers real costs only — transport, food and accommodation.

What all of this is, and what it is not
Every session on this page is offered for relaxation, calm and wellbeing. None of it is treatment, a cure or medicine, and none of it replaces medical or psychological care. Where a home or centre has its own carers and therapists, Yogi Ji works alongside them and under their guidance.
