Work we have done

An honest record

What follows is the work New Vision Nepal has actually carried out, place by place. There are no figures on this page. We would rather tell you exactly what was done and where than count things that cannot honestly be counted.

Across Nepal

Free sessions to homes, centres, schools and communities

Yoga, meditation, Himalayan sound healing and sound therapy have been given free of cost to children’s homes, elderly homes, rehabilitation centres, schools and communities.

Nobody has ever been asked to pay, and nobody has been asked to travel to us.

To the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Traffic Police

Sessions have been given to serving personnel of the Nepal Army, the Nepal Police and the Traffic Police — in barracks yards, in halls, and wherever there has been room to sit.

An open community yoga programme

Yoga and meditation practised together in the open at Pashupatinath, with students, teachers and members of the public taking part.

Retreats

Retreats of yoga, meditation and sound healing have been held at Panch Pokhari in Sindhupalchok, Gosaikunda in Rasuwa, Laprak in Gorkha — in partnership with the Rotary Club of Chitwan — and Ramkot in Kathmandu.

The Gosaikunda retreat was covered in the Nepali press.

Recognition of the work

Where honours and letters of appreciation have come to this work, they have been received as a blessing to serve — nothing more. They belong as much to the communities who took part as to the organisation.

Why there are no numbers here

It is easy to put a large figure on a page and hard to stand behind it. We have chosen to publish only what can be named — a school, a district, a programme — rather than counts of people that nobody verified. If you are considering supporting or partnering with this work and you need more detail, please ask us directly.
