Registered mandate

Registered mission. To carry out socio-economic reform programmes for sustainable development and good governance.

Registered vision. An equitable and prosperous society.

  1. Develop networks among development activists — Building working relationships with others active in development across Nepal, including through sustainable tourism projects.
  2. Strengthen the organisational capacity of disadvantaged communities — Helping communities build the capacity to act for themselves, rather than acting for them and leaving.
  3. Implement community development programmes — Carrying out programmes with communities, local stakeholders and government bodies together.
  4. Build awareness of the real causes of poverty — Addressing the causes rather than only the symptoms, and saying plainly what those causes are.

How we work today

Mission. To identify the needs of underserved communities and answer them directly, freely and in person.

Vision. A Nepal where service is a habit, not a project.

Areas of work

  • Community, Youth & Environment (Since 2012) — Health camps, river clean-ups, tree planting, blood donation and youth training — the work that has run continuously for over a decade.
  • Disaster Risk Reduction & Response (Since 2015) — Relief after the 2015 earthquake, and preparedness built into the 2026 Nuwakot programme so the next flood is met better than the last.
  • Education & Learning Materials (Since 2012) — School kits for children returning to flood-damaged classrooms, and the training programmes that have run since 2012.
  • Wellbeing & Psychosocial Care (Since 2024) — Free yoga, meditation and Himalayan sound sessions, given at the institution’s invitation and at no cost.
  • Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (From 2026) — Clean water for ten schools in Nuwakot, and the handwashing habit that keeps the benefit alive after the plumbing is finished.
